2019—2025

ARTIVISM began in 2019 as BlocHouse, an editorial and communications studio helping mission-led organisations develop distinctive voices for global audiences. That work evolved from short-form communications into books: advising founders and organisations on editorial structure, positioning, publishing and audience development, before producing our first illustrated publication, featuring local writers from Ghanaian literary charity Booksville. Those years established the principle that still guides AVSM today: create literary art for the future.

The Publishing House
Today, ARTIVISM is an independent publishing house and cultural institution working between London and Paris. We create collectible books across culture, beauty, travel, food, music and lifestyle, while investing in the writers and cultural voices who will document what comes next. Through publishing, commissions, salons and literary programmes, we're building a new kind of cultural library: one designed to be read, displayed, collected and passed on.
